Simply put, OpenSea is the Amazon or eBay for NFTs or non-fungible tokens. Through the Opensea site, you can buy or sell different types of NFTs, from digital collectibles to online art.
Transactions are linked to your Ethereum wallet, which can be hosted on Metamask or other NFT-enabled wallets. In the secondary market, you can buy and sell NFTs, and in the primary market, you can create the NFTs that you can sell.
Because the platform fees are lower than many other competitors, Opensea is currently the most preferred NFT marketplace globally.
This article covers all possible issues associated with not showing/not appearing/deleting content in OpenSea.
What does “Content not available yet ” mean in OpenSea?
In simple terms, content that is not yet available means that it is impossible to view the content (in this case, NFTs, illustrations, vectors, etc.) when browsing the Opensea platform.
This may be because the server is not processing the image (if that is the problem, the image should automatically be visible after a while), or NFT has been removed for violating terms and conditions (NFT creator must re-upload NFT with the necessary changes to comply).
Why did the “Content not available yet” error appear in OpenSea?
While browsing OpenSea, you may encounter some NFTs with “Content not yet available,” and the image will be blurry. The reasons can be different; they are:
- The OpenSea Backend cannot process the image due to server overload or a problem.
- NFT has been canceled or is in the process of being canceled due to a violation of OpenSea’s Terms and Conditions.
If you buy cryptocurrency, the only thing you can do is wait for the content to be visible again. Meanwhile, you can search for other visible NFTs on OpenSea.
How to fix “Content not yet available” in OpenSea?
If you are browsing OpenSea to buy NFT cryptocurrencies, you will not be able to correct the error directly; however, if you are a creator, you can re-upload the NFT as follows:
- Access your account in the upper right corner, click on Create
- Upload your NFT, enter the required details and click “Create.”
Please ensure that the NFTs you upload is in supported file formats and do not violate any rights.
Why does NFT get delisted on OpenSea?
According to the OpenSea support page, they exercise their right to remove NFT when a user violates their terms and conditions.
The object will still exist on the blockchain, but the content will not be visible on the OpenSea platform. If the content violates one or more of the ways listed below, it may be removed from the list:
- Incitement to violence and hatred of others
- Promote self-harm/suicide
- Puts down or degrades another person
- Violation of other intellectual property rights
- Violation of other terms and conditions.
You can find the terms and conditions here, and we recommend that you read them before publishing/creating NFT on OpenSea.
If you are a creator and your NFTs have been removed from the list, you will receive an email notification from OpenSea.
Why are NFTs not visible in your OpenSea account?
Before fixing the problem, please understand that OpenSea does not store your NFTs in any way; it’s just a marketplace connected to your wallet that displays all the NFTs you have purchased.
However, once you have purchased an NFT through OpenSea, it will be visible in your OpenSea profile. If not, there may be reasons:
Your Metamask crypto wallet connection is incomplete or inadequate
Close your browser cache and log in to your wallet again. If you have multiple wallets on Metamask, connect to the correct one.
You have just completed the NFT transaction, and you may not see NFT
This can happen when network traffic on Ethereum is higher than usual. The processing time would then increase. If you still want to verify, verify the transaction on Etherscan: https://etherscan.io/
How long does it take to receive NFT on OpenSea?
It depends on the traffic on the Ethereum network. If you have successfully completed the transaction, it may take from a few hours to 2-3 days.
Why did My NFT disappear from OpenSea?
This can happen if the NFTs violate OpenSea’s terms and conditions. In other cases, NFTs can be created/listed in an unreadable format (commonly accepted files are: images, music, videos, etc.)
Users/listers do not encounter this error very often. If they do, this could be one or more of the possible reasons listed above.
